What is keyword density?
Keyword density is a percentage measurement of the number of times a keyword or keyword phrase appears on a web page. This is useful for search engine optimization of a web page, you can view if a web page is relevant to a specific keyword or keyword phrase. It is recommended that you don't keyword stuff your web pages, don't try to use keywords more often than you have to. You want your content to be human friendly, not search engine friendly.
If you write content the correct way the search engine crawlers will be able to pick out the correct keywords. Major search engines use many different methods to provide search results, so keyword density does not play the only part. It is possible for a page to get penalized for using too many keywords on a page, this is usually from keyword stuffing web pages. Usually you only want around 4-5% keyword density for any given term. Depending on the content it could be naturally higher or low than 4-5%, there is no official percentage given by search engines.
